Where Is It?
The semi-rural village of Hersham is located within excellent access of the M25 and the M3 motorways, as well as Hersham and Walton railway stations and still enjoys a wealth of open spaces and parkland. Hersham centres around the village green, which offers three and a half acres of grass area surrounded by charming houses and village shops. Meanwhile, the nearby River Mole provides lovely riverside walks through meadows and woodland.
What Does It Feel Like?
Hersham Village has a rural feel and has a strong local community feel. The area provides a number of local amenities, such as St Peter’s Church on Burwood Road, which holds a number of services and activities for all ages and several fantastic restaurants, including the friendly San Marco Italian restaurant. Shopping facilities are available at the quality retail destination of Hersham Green Shopping Centre, which contains a Waitrose and a range of local and national stores. This area is also very popular for a number of good quality Nurseries, primary and secondary schools as well as The Burwood Golf club all of which gives Hersham village a semi-rural village feel.
The Housing?
Hersham Village provides excellent range of housing offering period Victorian properties over looking the Back Green, modern new developments in Green Lane, 1970/80s houses in Conyers close area as well as semi-detached 1920/30s properties in and around the Burwood Close and Thrupps avenue areas together with 1950s properties in the Havers Avenue areas. Furthermore, the Burwood Park private estate offers larger houses, with almost 400 properties on the 360-acre private estate, along with natural communal gardens, lakes and a Grade II listed mansion. Three of its four entrances are protected by rising bollards, providing a safe and secure environment for residents.
Getting Around?
Hersham and Walton on Thames mainline station provides a fast link to Waterloo and is approximately a 30 minute car journey to London Heathrow. The M3 and M25 Motorways are easy accessible. There is a local bus service which takes you to neighbouring towns such as Weybridge, Esher, East & West Molesey, Hampton Court, Kingston upon Thames, Shepperton and Staines.

Walton and Hersham are well served by highly regarded schools, including Burhill, Bell Farm, Cleves Primary School, Cardinal Newman RC, Rydens Enterprise School and Esher High, together with some fine churches, such as the historical St Peter’s Church.
