Joe has lived in and around Walton on Thames all his life and is very enthusiastic about the local area it's facilities and schooling.
Where Is It?
The eastern side of Walton-on-Thames provides a charming residential community with a range of amenities and facilities. Located in the footsteps of the Queen Elizabeth II reservoir are the Shaw Drive and Regency Gardens areas complete with attractive green and picturesque pond.
What Does It Feel Like?
The area benefits from a number of local shops along Cottimore Lane and Terrace Road, including a family butchers, fishmongers, hairdressers, florist, take-aways and several convenience stores. Further north lies the contemporary Xcel Leisure Complex offering a multitude of sporting facilities including two swimming pools, a climbing wall and both indoor and outdoor pitches and courts. For a relaxing meal after your sporting exertions, The Weir Hotel provides a traditional pub experience with a blazing fire and fantastic food, together with stunning views over the weir itself. Or maybe visit Alieo’s Italian Delicatessen to sample their wide selection of cured hams and delicious cheeses with a coffee.
The Housing?
This area contains a mixture of houses built in the late 1980s by Wimpey. There are a range of one and two bedroom apartments as well as two and three bedroom houses. The properties in the Regency Gardens area were also built in the late 1980s and comprises of three and four bedroom detached houses which are always popular with young professionals.
Getting Around?
The area is close to the local Leisure Centre and a short walk to the River Thames. Hersham Mainline Station is 1 mile and Walton Mainline station is 1.2 miles away, providing a fast link to Waterloo. There is a local bus service which takes you to neighbouring towns such as East and West Molesey, Hampton Court and Kingston upon Thames. London Heathrow is approximately 30 minute journey by car with the M25 and M3 motorways easily accesible.

Walton on Thames is well served by highly regarded schools including Ashley Church of England Primary School, Cleves Primary School, Cardinal Newman RC, together with some fine churches, such as the historical St Mary’s and the more contemporary St Erconwald’s
The area also benefits fro other fine schools including Bell Farm Primary School, Grovelands, Walton Oak, Rydens Enterprise School, Thamesmead.
